Please join Big I WNY in person for our 2023 Legislative Breakfast at The Buffalo Club. During this event, Big I WNY members, WNY Legislators, and representatives from our Big I NY legislative team will come together and discuss the issues critical to our industry. 

The format will begin with registration and a buffet breakfast at 8:00 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., Scott Hobson, MPA, Assistant VP of Government Relations for Big I New York, will provide a brief legislative update and then lead a roundtable discussion, concluding at 9:30 a.m. Some of the issues we plan to discuss include:

• The deteriorating state of the NY insurance market

• Making pre-insurance photo inspections voluntary

• Streamlining the process for obtaining insurance coverage in the excess market

• Workers compensation reform initiatives

• Legislation to ban lead paint exclusions in rental habitational coverage
